Cardiovascular Function in Pediatric Patients

What we are studying

Impedance cardiography has been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to study heart function, but it has not been routinely used in children. This study will determine average normal values for cardiac output (the amount of blood your heart pumps per minute) and systemic vascular resistance (a measure of blood vessel tone) in healthy children.

  • All Ethnicities
  • All Ages up to 15

Eligibility Criteria

  • Referred for outpatient echocardiogram

What is involved

  • 1 additional test occurring at the appointment for the scheduled echocardiogram
