Wake Forest Univeristy School of Medicine offers a multidisciplinary approach to the treament of trigeminal neuralgia, glossopharyngeal neuralgia, vagal neuralgia, superior laryngeal neuralgia, nervus intermedius or geniculate neuralgia, and hemifacial spasm.

The gamut of surgical treatments are available including microvascular decompression, Gamma Knife stereotactic radiosurgery, and radiofrequency lesioning. This allows the optimum treatment for any given individual to be selected.

Facial Neuralgia / Hemifacial Spasm

Physicians may refer patients to the Facial Neuralgia / Spasm Center by contacting the Physicians' Access Line at any time or by contacting the offices of any of the Center members listed below.

Patients or families may refer inquiries regarding arteriovenous malformations to theWake Forest University Baptist Medical Center's Health On-Call Service.
