The Department of Otolaryngology at Wake Forest University is a  teaching and  treating  center for diseases of the ear, nose and throat in both children and adults.Otolaryngologists diagnose and manage difficult disorders requiring special expertise and training as well as many primary care problems. Our specialty is commonly referred to as "ENT" or Ear, Nose and Throat.

The first transoral robotic surgery (TORS) in western North Carolina has been performed at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, and all three patients who underwent the first procedures are recovering well, without the complications that follow traditional surgery for the same diagnoses.
