The Department of Otolaryngology at Wake Forest University is a teaching and treating center for diseases of the ear, nose and throat in both children and adults. Otolaryngologists diagnose and manage difficult disorders requiring special expertise and training as well as many primary care problems.  Otolaryngology (pronounced oh/toe/lair/in/goll/oh/jee) is the oldest medical specialty in the United States.  Our specialty is commonly referred to as "ENT" or Ear, Nose and Throat.
