Clinical Training in the Wake Forest University Geriatric Fellowship Program

In the Geriatrics Fellowship Program, there are 12 faculty members directly involved with the clinical training and more than 20 faculty members involved via interdepartmental research projects.

Although our one year program is primarily clinical, there are multiple opportunities for fellows to participate in research during and beyond the clinical year.

Wake Forest University is one of only 11 geriatric centers in the United States designated as a Claude D. Pepper Older Americans Independence Center. The entire Wake Forest University Department of Internal Medicine is involved in Geriatric Medicine through various related research projects.
