Hemodialysis is located on the eighth floor of the North Tower at WFUBMC, adjacent to the Renal Care floor.  This area offers advanced technology and dedicated acute dialysis nurses 24-7.

• We use Cobe Centrysystem-3 machines
• We use Cobe Prisma for CVVHDF in our ICUs
• We use the Baxter PAC-Xtra for automated peritoneal dialysis
• We also offer manual peritoneal dialysis
• We monitor ultrafiltration with the Critline-3 system manufactured by In-line Diagnostics
• We have dedicated acute dialysis RNs around the clock
• We have 9-beds and 4-chairs each with cardiac/blood presure monitors and televisions   

 The Renal Care Unit, also located on the eighth floor and offers: 

• 19 private rooms
• 6 telemetry beds
• experienced renal nurses 1:6 or 7 nurse:patient ratio
• 24 hour renal consultation service
• close proximity to hemodialysis unit
