Marcela Heinrich, MD
Dr. Heinrich graduated from the Bowman Gray School of Medicine. She joined Westgate Pediatrics in 1999 after completing her Pediatrics Residency training at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. She is Board Certified in Pediatrics and is a Certified Instructor of Infant Massage.
She is fluent in English, Spanish and German and sees children of all ages. Her devotion to community medical care is proven by her years of volunteer service at the Sunnyside Ministries Free Clinic in Winston-Salem.
Her outside interests include gardening and knitting.

Shelley Kreiter, MD
Dr. Kreiter received her medical education and Pediatric Residency training at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. She was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics with a special interest in Child Abuse and Neglect and Breast Feeding Support before joining Westgate Pediatrics in 2001.
She is Board Certified in Pediatrics and has a strong interest in Breast feeding Medicine. When not working, she and her husband enjoy long-distance bicycling.

Mark Pashayan, MD
After receiving his medical degree from the Bowman Gray School of Medicine in Winston Salem, he did his pediatric residency at the University of Florida in Gainesville. He worked in the private practice in Gainesville until 1995 when he joined Westgate pediatrics.
Dr. Pashayan is Board Certified in Pediatrics. Since 2001 he has served as the Chief Medical Officer for our primary care network, Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center Community Physicians.
Dr. Pashayan enjoys spending time with his wife and two grown sons. He is an avid photographer, cook, and musician.

Lanny (Chip) Monroe, M.D., F.A.A.P.
Dr. Monroe is a board certified pediatrician who joined us after practicing at Jackson-Hinds Comprehensive Health Center in Jackson, Mississippi. After earning his bachelor's degree in Biological Science with Chemistry and Music minors, he attended the University of Mississippi School of Medicine. He completed his pediatric internship and residency at University Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi.
Dr. Monroe believes that the relationship between a parent and/or guardian and a child's pediatrician should be a partnership - working together to determine the best course of action for a particular problem. He believes that every child is different, and sometimes a different approach is needed to best care for that child. Dr. Monroe loves being a part of a child's early growth and development and enjoys forming a long-term relationship with the family. He believes that accessibility is a key to forming that lasting relationship and he strives to be available to address questions or concerns.
In his spare time, he enjoys fatherhood,spending time with his family, bicycling, playing the piano, and vegetarian cooking.

Rebecca Weinshilboum, DO
Dr. Weinshilboum received her medical degree from the New England College of Osteopathic Medicine and did her Pediatric Residency at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. She joined Westgate Pediatrics in 1998.
She is Board Certified in Pediatrics. Dr. Weinshilboum sees patients of all ages. She has a keen interest in adolescent medical problems and helping parents and teens negotiate relationships during those challenging times.
When not in the office, she is kept busy by her two small children and various pets.
