Expenses Due
The Financial Counseling Department will contact you or a family member for deductible and out-of-pocket expenses due. These are to be paid prior to services or upon discharge. Private room charges not paid by your insurance are also due upon discharge.
Your Bill
As a patient of Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, you are responsible for all charges incurred during your hospitalization.
WFUBMC is responsible for submitting bills to your insurance company and will do everything possible to expedite your claim. But you should remember that your policy is a contract between you and your insurance company and you have the final responsibility for payment of your hospital bill. We have several payment options available to assist you. Your statement will reflect the amount billed to your insurance and the portion due from you.
Patient Accounts staff can answer questions about your hospital bill and help you interpret financial policies and billing procedures at the hospital. Patient Accounts can be reached by calling 800-995-3009 Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm.
You will receive separate billing from the hospital and the physicians. If you have questions about these bills, please call the number printed on the statement you receive from them.
