Sample Repository for Bone Marrow Transplant Recipients and Donors

What we are studying

The purpose of this research study is to create a repository of blood samples from individuals receiving bone marrow transplants and those donating bone marrow. The blood samples will be stored for use in future research studies to help researchers find ways to make bone marrow transplants more successful.

    • Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander
    • Other
  • All Ethnicities
  • Ages 18+

Eligibility Criteria

  • Scheduled to receive an allogenic hematopoietic stem cell transplant at Wake Forest Baptist Health
  • Scheduled to be a donor for an allogenic hematopoietic stem cell transplant at Wake Forest Baptist Health
  • Not pregnant

What is involved

  • Bone marrow donors will give an extra blood sample at the time of bone marrow donation
  • Bone marrow transplant recipients will provide 5 blood samples after their transplant
