What we are studying
The purpose of this study is to test the safety and effectiveness of an investigational drug (study drug) when used to treat cholangiocarcinoma. The study drug is thought to kill cancer cells by turning off their mitochondria. Mitochondria are used by cancer cells to produce energy and are the building blocks needed to make more cancer cells. By shutting off these mitochondria, the study drug deprives the cancer cells of energy and other supplies that they need to survive and grow in your body. We want to find out what effects, good and/or bad, the study drug has on patients and their cancer.
