Nicotine and Menthol vs Non-menthol Cigarettes

What we are studying

The purpose of this study is to examine (assess or determine or learn about) the rate that nicotine accumulates in your brain when smoking a menthol cigarette compared to a non-menthol cigarette.

Who we are studying

  • Men and Women
  • Races:
    • White
    • African American
    • Asian
    • American Indian or Alaska Native
    • Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander
    • Other
  • All Ethnicities
  • Ages 18 - 55

Eligibility Criteria

  • Regularly smoking 10 or more Marlboro king-sized menthol (green pack) or nonmenthol (red pack) cigarettes per day for at least 2 years

What is involved

  • 2 study visits over 3-4 weeks
