Study of Childhood Onset Nephrotic Syndrome

What we are studying

This is a study in children who develop body swelling due to the leakage of protein from kidneys of unknown reasons (called idiopathic nephrotic syndrome). The purpose of this research study is to find common DNA sites that are associated with the development of childhood onset idiopathic nephrotic syndrome

  • All Ethnicities
  • Ages 2 - 21

Eligibility Criteria

  • Diagnosed with nephrotic syndrome

What is involved

  • Additional blood sample when blood is being drawn for regular medical care
  • Short quesitonnaire
