Abramson Appointed to Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust Executive Council

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Jon S. Abramson, M.D., professor and chair of pediatrics at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, has been appointed to serve as a member of the Kate B. Reynolds (KBR) Charitable Trust Executive Council. He was appointed by KBR’s sole trustee, Wachovia Bank, to serve for a three-year term.

“We are absolutely delighted and honored that Dr. Abramson has accepted our invitation,” said Karen McNeil-Miller, president of KBR. “With health and health care as the predominant focus of the Trust, to have someone of his stature and experience on board as an advisor is truly a gift.”

The executive council reviews grant making policies, investment performances and other investment functions, including grant recommendations. It also establishes investment policies and asset allocation models; recommends nominees for membership on the advisory board and performs other advisory support as determined by the trustees.
